RCAN’s First Event in Belarus!

On 28 November 2013 RCAN officially launched in Belarus at a seminar entitled “State court interference in international arbitration – ‘yes, please’ or ‘no, thank you'”.

The seminar featured practitioners from the UK, Germany, Russia and Belarus sharing their experiences with respect of judicial interference in arbitration. Speakers included Ben Holland (Covington & Burling LLP), Robert Whitener (Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP), Julia Popelysheva (Clifford Chance) and Alexey Anischenko (Sorainen). The participants were welcomed by Jan Funk, the Chairman of the International Arbitration Court at the Belorussian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.  The seminar was attended by more than 30 in-house counsel and private practitioners, and was followed by networking drinks.
